Workforce Development and Training
Workforce Training: Lincoln County is committed to building its workforce for the future. Various state and regional training opportunities are available.
Lincoln County is home to a Colorado Workforce Center in Limon.
The Colorado FIRST customized training program is a state wide job training program that provides training assistance to the Lincoln County workforce as an incentive for companies that are relocating or expanding in Colorado. Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation is the administrator for this program.
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has a variety of online resources for employers. It also offers the Connecting Colorado site where employers can post job openings for quality workers.
The Colorado School to Career Program brings students, businesses, communities and schools together to create a productive and trained workforce. It also helps business leaders improve workforce quality through work-based experiences and curriculum development tailored to the needs of today’s workforce.
Higher Education
Limon is home to Limon Center of Morgan Community College, a two year community college. It is one of 13 community colleges in the Colorado Community College System, Colorado’s largest system of higher education. Morgan Community College serves students across eastern Colorado.

Colorado is also home to other higher educational resources that encompass a variety of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs at 12 public and private four-year colleges and universities, including world-class research institutions like the University of Colorado-Boulder, Colorado School of Mines, and Colorado State University.
Lincoln County is just over an hour away from these higher education institutions.
